In this multifaceted position, you'll oversee the entire lifecycle of events, from concept to execution. Your responsibilities will include identifying and securing new business opportunities, fostering growth in our events calendar, and ensuring seamless operations throughout. You'll also play a pivotal role in supporting different departments across the college, driving revenue generation and maximising opportunities across all areas.
Flexibility is key in this role, as you'll be required to travel within the local area, covering both the St Albans and WGC campuses. Moreover, you'll need to be available for weekend and evening functions, aligning with our event schedule.
1. Oversee day-to-day commercial operations, covering room bookings, conferences, events, weddings, and festivals.
2. Proactively pursue sales opportunities and collaborate with the marketing team on sales strategies.
3. Respond promptly to event inquiries, create comprehensive proposals, and manage invoicing.
4. Act as the main point of contact for external clients and internal staff involved in event operations.
5. Maintain and optimise the commercial booking system for efficient use.
6. Collaborate with directors to ensure profitable commercial offerings and promote college areas.
7. Coordinate event details and convey client requirements to relevant departments.
8. Conduct on-site meetings with clients to showcase options and upsell additional services.
9. Manage client records accurately using computerised systems and paper records.
10. Address customer complaints promptly and ensure swift resolution.
Required Skills:
