The role
We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Technical Manager on a flexible part time (60%) basis.
The School of Geographical Sciences is home to approximately 150 staff, 180 postgraduate students and 600 undergraduate students. The technical services within the School consist of 5 core staff who support academic research, teaching and field work across a broad range of Geographical themes, as well as a growing number of grant-funded research technicians working directly on projects
The School Technical Manager provides high quality and inspiring leadership and management of technical services. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of efficient and effective technical services and for providing an outstanding experience to our students and staff. You will act as School Safety Advisor and ensure that all operations within the School are conducted safely.
