- THE ROLE -

The role holder will provide specialist leadership and direction relating to library academic engagement, and service delivery. The role will lead on the development of learning and research skills in support of Ulster’s Graduate Attributes. The role will be responsible for the embedding and sustainable delivery of learning development and research support initiatives. This responsibility includes leading on the design, development, and evaluation of services to ensure best fit within the University context.

The postholder will provide strategic leadership and be accountable for the delivery of an excellent Academic Engagement experience across the Library Service at Ulster University. The role holder will ensure that positive relationships are developed with academic colleagues and academic priorities are captured and addressed to add value to service delivery and ensure that the work of the Academic Engagement Teams remains relevant and connected to the University Strategy, People, Place, and Partnership.

- ABOUT YOU -

- Educated to degree level
- Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
- Significant prior experience and proven expertise at senior level of leadership and management with strategic oversight for the development and delivery of learning activities to promote best practice in learning enhancement to include:

- Evidence of providing high level strategic advice and direction to senior colleagues on approaches to learning enhancement in an academic setting
- Evidence of delivering substantial transformational change (people and processes) with demonstrable evidence of success in a higher education setting
- Evidence of enhancing student outcomes through significant service enhancement to include the implementation of sector-leading pedagogic practice in a learning environment
- Evidence of advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify and deliver solutions across broad management functions
- Evidence of successful strategic planning and alignment of initiatives with institutional commitments
