Applications are invited for two Assistant or Associate Professors in synthetic chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Warwick.
We are seeking colleagues who will establish a vigorous research program in small-molecule synthetic chemistry that is closely aligned to our priority research themes: sustainability, health, energy, or environmental science.
We welcome candidates with interests in all areas of small molecule synthetic chemistry, including (but not limited to) flow chemistry, electrosynthesis, photosynthesis, catalysis, AI-enabled synthesis, and biosynthesis.
You will contribute to the teaching of organic and/or inorganic chemistry, and you will be expected to develop new modules in conjunction with colleagues. At least one of the posts will be in the subject area of organic chemistry (broadly defined).
You will develop imaginative activities to complement and advance the research and teaching profile of the department.
You will also be expected to attract external funding to maintain an active research programme and exhibit effectiveness and enthusiasm as a teacher of chemistry at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
